(Song of the Party)

“Lied Der Partei” [“Song of the Party”] was the anthem of the German Socialist Unity Party. It was written by Louis Fürnberg in 1949. The song extolls all that the Party has given the people, and how socialism came from the mind of Lenin while shaped by the hand of Stalin. The ultra-left and opportunists may sneer at the Party, but while people may come and go, the Party is always there through best and worst.
